Otto Malone was not going to let the chance to audition for American Idol pass him by, earlier in the year he was wounded in the leg by enemy fire while piloting an Apache helicopter over Musa Qala in Afghanistan. Regardless Otto showed up to the audition with crutches no less.

Will be fun to see his audition, I am sure Idol will air it. Not many helicopter pilots try out for idol, and on crutches no less.
