What do you think of Nate?
Love him or leave him?
Nate Marshall grew up in upstate New York and soon discovered he had a deep love of music. In his teen years Nate began playing the guitar, hung out with other wannabe musicians and started to make some music of his own.
By 18, Nate had released his first full length album which consisted of original material entitled "Generation Why?". Besides playing the guitar Nate also plays the piano, cello, harmonica, banjo, ukulele, tambourine and kazoo. Several years ago (2005) Nate joined forces with a "Kate" and they have been touring together and have recorded one album.
You can find the Nate & Kate MySpace page located here.
On Nate’s (and Kates) MySpace page you can listen to their acoustic, hippie sounding tunes. They are fun, catchy and sound a bit 60’s like to me.
Many people are thinking Nate has what it takes to get past the Hollywood rounds of Idol. Time will tell. I have found several videos on youtube.com that I will post in to the site in a bit.

More American Idol Hopefuls
Nate Marshall recorded his first CD at the age of 19 of “original material”. Says he got his first guitar at 15 and learned to play for his local church choir. He’s been compared to Bob Dylan. He has recorded another CD at 22.

Good stuff … how far do you think Tasha goes this year?
Natasha (Tasha) Valentine is another contestant for this years Idol that has some experience with reality tv, she was a finalist on Nashville Star and has the chops to back that up.
I just listened to several songs on Tasha’s MySpace page the girl can sing. She has been leading a band now for a while ….(taken from her MySpace Page)
I have the best band ever! Rich (guitar): One of the nicest people on the whole planet and by far one of the best guitar players I’ve ever heard. When he’s not on the road with his other band (Frank Black and the Catholics), he loans his time to me. What a guy! Steve (drums).
Steve Latanation is borrowed from my favorite punk band ever, Agent Orange. I met this guy on the road with Joshua Black Wilkins and knew I had to have a "piece of that"!
He’s also a super guy and has really great hair! OI! Ed (bass): This guy has been with me from the start. A blues man by trade, Ed Cain earns a living playing with a veritable cornucopia of artists.
I really dig "bands" and I hope she does well, I like the real musical types .. Hey I am older and looks don’t impress me. It’s all about the songs, the singing … and the presence on stage.
Fantasia had all that, just wish she would sing more old school type music. I will post some videos as I find them …
Idol Man

Ok gang, some videos by Mishavonna to give you a feel for her music style and what not. What do you think? Do you think she will make it past Hollywood in 2009? I am glad she is giving it another go, got to keep trying in life. Sometimes things do not come easy, however you have to keep pushing, she has talent.
Time will tell.
