19 year old Carmen Turner and her best friend, 18 year old Lauren Sanders, came before the Season 9 American Idol judges in Atlanta, GA certain of dual success. They had no doubt about making it to Hollywood together.

But when the judges as each of the inseparable BFFs to sing individually while the other steps aside. The results were disappointing.

Sadly, Carmen turned out to be the stronger singer of the two and was handed the golden ticket to Hollywood while Lauren will be left behind because she was rejected by the four judges. Thus, the inseparable friends since 3rd grade will finally be separated. If it’s any consolation though, Carmen got a “Yes” only from 3 out of 4 judges.

How long will Carmen Turner survive the competition in Hollywood? How quickly will she be reunited with her inseparable best friend? Does she have a chance of making it to the top 12? What are her chances of becoming our next American Idol?
