The song that is sung for the auditions to the American Idol contest or for any other contests, for that matter, is almost as important as its delivery and Caroline Brooks chose extremely well and delivered it beautifully.

Caroline Brooks sang “Someone to Watch Over Me” which is a song that was composed by George Gershwin for the lyrics of his brother, Ira Gershwin. and then it was performed by Gertrude Lawrence in the well known 1926 Hollywood musical called Oh, Kay! “Someone to Watch Over Me” is a song that is considered to be a jazz standard and it has also been included in the Great American Songbook. You selected well, Caroline, and you sang it like a pro.
