Twenty six year old Daniel Murillo of Hesperia, California was coaxed into trying out for the ninth season of American Idol competition by countless others who have heard him singing. Otherwise he would have never consider it, especially since he has just gotten married and returned from his honeymoon only one week before the tryouts in Los Angeles, California.
We at American Buzz are very grateful to all those who pushed Daniel to compete in this season’s reality show because otherwise all of America would have missed his greatly talented singer and he, Daniel Murillo, would have missed the chance of a lifetime and the opportunity to perhaps become the next American Idol.
And he made it! He has passed the initial screening by singing a 90’s song by the band knonw as Shy and was invited to participate in the next round of auditions. Was he surprised? He says that he was because he was actually doing it “only for fun.” Well, so much for fun and now he has to buckle down and do some real work if he intends to be a serious contender.

I grew up with daniel since I was a child, he is a very close friend. Im kinda getting upset about all the chatter that is going on about his style and personality, Its like wow! How could people be so wrong about some things? A lot of the people he is being compared to actually jacked “his style”, a lot of the bands he is being compared to are fans of his music and personal friends of his. Daniel is no joke, they guy has toured in a van about 200-300 days a year for 7 years in a row, I know because I was in that van most of the time. Dan has been part of the 05–07 Warped Tour, 2006 Bamboozle (East & West) coast tour, and the 2005 Taste of Chaos tour. They are also Featured in Amped 3, the latest in the Amped series for XBox 360.
His band was the second runner up in the 2006 “Dew Circuit Breakout” on MTV.
Daniel also is currently the new touring singer for the band “Hollywood Undead”.

Daniel Murillo is now one of the lead singers of Hollywood Undead out of LA. As he was pushed by the band to try out on America Idol, where they soon voted out their current singer and picked up Daniel (Danny in H.U.) due to musical differences.

Daniel is a great vocalist, i’ve seen him now live in the HU concert in Amsterdam on their European tour, i was already a big HU fan but Danny really impressed me the most.

Not only did he get HU 4x more famous (their first album with the old singer sold 21,000 copies in the first week, and their album with Daniel sold 67,000 copies), but he has an amazing voice that can fit with any song. He can easily do hip hop, pop, r&b, metal, hard rock, and more!
Daniel Murillo is currently the front man for the rap/rock group Hollywood Undead. He goes by the alias ‘Danny’ in the band, wearing a gold Mask with a black cross over his left eye.
