Her tender age of 16 seems to make little difference in the fact that she acts as if she has had many years and a whole lot of time to perfect her singing, her stage presence and her movements. And in fact, this Season 9 of the American Idol competition is not her first because she has also participated in The American Idol Experience.
The fact that Jillian, or as friends call her Jill, did not win that competition but fell short of the finale phase did not dampen her enthusiasm but rather it enhanced her desire and determination to work harder, to focus more intensely and to ultimately win some other competition.
Now Jill Jensen of Rochester, MA is single mindedly working toward attaining the next American Idol title and she, in fact, has what it takes to win — as she has got the looks, the enthusiasm, the passion and the love for her art; her music, her singing. And so Jill auditioned in Boston, MA and sang the all time favored song, “Amazing Grace.”
Also to her credit as a talented musician and as an upstanding citizen in her Southern Massachusetts community, Jillian Jensen who has won the Miss Massachusetts Teen American 2007 award has created the MOM (Magic of Music) program to which she welcomes singers between 5 and 17. With this program in place, kids who could never afford music lessons otherwise, now have access to scholarships and financial aid. Kudos to you Jillian!
