We at American Buzz do not know a whole lot about Kyle Sherman but we do already know that he is a hugely talented musician and a great singer and that he has won this year’s Dallas / Fort Worth Idol title. We also know that he showed up for the preliminary tryouts for the ninth season of the American Idol reality show at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas which is right outside of Dallas, Texas.
Kyle Sherman was just one individual in a gigantic crowed of an estimated 10,000 aspiring singers who all wanted the chance to become the next American Idol but Kyle was one of the lucky few who actually made it past the initial phase and were invited for the next one.
Now, I did say that he was one of the lucky few but was it really luck or was it his talent, his skill, his musicality, his persona and his hard work that attained him this first victory and propelled him onto the next? We at American Buzz believe that it was a combination of all of the above.

Kyle’s daughter’s name is Layla Dylan. Not Mikalah. I have a photo if you want it.
He’s 29-years-old, grew up in Joshua, Tx, graduated from Joshua High School in 1999. I went to school with him, was in school choir with him and we attended the same church. He used to lead worship in our church youth group and performed in a few church musicals. He’s very talented, I hope he makes it all the way! I can also get a picture for you.
Mindy is correct. Listen to her. We met Kyle at The Church at Burleson (Texas). Aside from being a great talent he is a humble and kind person. He is now working with Life Church in Fort Worth.

I worked with Kyle for several years as part of the youth group and musicians at our church in Joshua, Texas; I remember his first few solos in youth musicals and the very beginning of his guitar playing.
More than anything, I remember Kyle’s character and humility. Even at a young age, he was unique in his approach to life, his appreciation and understanding of his talent and his kindness to others. Kyle is one in a million and it is exciting to see him have a chance to demonstrate his musical abilities and his character to a broader audience. I enjoy the music that he creates today and wish him all the best in the future!

Kyle was my best friend in High School and College. Been going nuts to see how far he’s gone, but the jerk (ha) won’t say a thing (which I understand).
I haven’t seen him on Hollywood week, does this mean he’s done?
