This is the most fun ever witnessed on the American Idol Fox reality show and it happened during the auditions for Season 9 American Idol 2010 in, you guessed it, Atlanta, GA.

And the following is a recap of that extraordinarily entertaining segment of the American Idol 2010 audition in Atlanta, GA. A gentleman appeared before the judges and introduced himself as “General” Larry Platt. At 62, Larry Platt has obviously surpassed the age limit for this competition a long, long time ago. Being intrigued, amused and undoubtedly curious, the judges were willing to allow him to proceed with the audition.

And “General” Larry Platt gave them an earful when he began rapping his very own and original song called “Pants on the Ground.”

“Pants on the Ground” lyrics are as follows:

The judges were going wild while Larry Platt, never losing a beat, continued his rapping which was, by the way, accompanied by sleek dance movements to the cadence of his own raspy voice.

Sadly, “General” Larry Platt was not handed the golden ticket to Hollywood but he has become an instant American Idol legend in his own right as now everyone is talking about “Pants on the Ground” American Idol. No one can guess at his motive but we at American Buzz have no doubt that the “General” himself could not have expected so much attention when he brought the “Pants on the Ground” song before the judges and he could not have possibly imagined that so many “Pants on the Ground” videos would be circulating throughout the Internet.  Even an American Idol Pants on the Ground spoof and a remix have been prepared.
