At twenty one and hailing from Rockwell, Texas; Michael Castro is the younger of two brothers who are extraordinarily musically inclined. Jason Castrol auditioned for season 7 of the Amrican Idol singing talent search reality show and impressively made it into the top twelve finalists.

Then came little brother Michael’s turn and he showed up in Kansas City, Missouri to audition for the season 8 of the American Idol competition. Michael sang “In Love with a Girl” by Gavin DeGraw and all four judges responded with an enthusiastic YES and gave him the golden ticket to Hollywood. Sadly, however, Michael Castro was cut on the very last day of the competition.

The failure or setback that Michael Castro experienced in last year’s American Idol competition did not dampen his spirits nor did it diminish his desire to become the next American Idol. So, Michael increased his focus, polished up his skills and worked harder than ever in preparation for the ninth season of the American Idol contest.

Confident that his technique and delivery are much improved, Michael Castro showed up in Dallas, Texas to audition for the season 9 of American Idol and, wouldn’t you know it, he again received a unanimous vote and the golden ticket to Hollywood. Kudos to you, Michael Castro. We at American Buzz are very proud of you.
