What we know about Michael Lynche.

Michael Lynche is 26 years old and is from St. Petersburg Florida although his hometown is reported to be Astoria, NY. Michael auditioned for American Idol in the city of Orlando, Florida.

His wife delivered a beautiful baby girl while Michael was pursuing his American Idol dream and all of America was able to pull for Big Mike during this special time.

Here are a few things that Michael has told us about himself.

I decided to audition for American Idol this year because I’ve sat on the couch for years watchin’ it, wonderin’ if I had what it takes. So here I am provin’ I have what it takes.

What sets me apart from the other contestants is these pythons right here (as he flexes his large biceps). But the first time I sang in front of people was in church, started out in church kind of mimicking the guitar player that was in church and just singin’ and a havin’ fun that way.

One thing that people might be surprised to learn about me is that I’ve only worn one type of deodorant since I was 12 years old and I collect them. And right now I only need 474 more for the rest of my life and so now I search the internet and every single like bodega and like a beauty salon, beauty shop type store that I can find to find em, and I just pick ‘em out one by one. I buy every one they have on the shelf and I just make it my collection.

I do have special talents… ah…arm wrestlin’. I haven’t lost an arm wrestlin’ match since I was nine. I had a family friend who use to teach me and just beat me, and beat me and the day I beat him I haven’t lost since and I take a lot of pride in it.

My favorite American Idol moment was last season when Kris Allen won over Adam Lambert. It just really goes to show that you never know what the people are lookin’ for and and you always just have to believe in yourself. I thought that was just an amazin’ time on the show.
