Known as the national anthem girl from Rhode Island who sings at every public and sports event which also includes the Bruins and Celtics games, 18 year old Stephanie Lariviere had just graduated from her Cumberland High School and received the best present a girl could want. She passed the initial tryouts and was invited for the second round of auditions for the ninth season of the American Idol reality show.

With this terrific news in hand, Stephanie Lariviere could not be any happier and the bright smile that spanned from ear to ear reflected her joy. In fact, Stephanie’s victory was doubly sweet because she had not yet forgotten the pain of disappointment when she was rejected while trying out for season 7 of the American Idol just two years ago not in this same Gillette Stadium in Boston, MA but in Philadelphia, PA.

Stephanie was very hopeful and had worked very hard toward her goal but seemed to be surprised when she was shown the go-ahead green light to proceed to the next level. “I wasn’t expecting it,” she said very modestly.

Does Stephanie have a chance to be “idolized”? We at American Buzz believe that she does because she is indeed made up of the fabric required for stardom. She has the sweet all-American look, she has a stage presence, she has the talent, she has the ambition and she is not afraid of working hard to fulfill her dreams. Yes, we believe that she’s got what it takes.
